Sharla Sava is an educational technology specialist living in the New York area. In her current role as Director of Blended Learning at Success Academy Charter Schools, she delivers a blended approach to learning as SA scales the training and development of all leaders, teachers, and staff across the organization.
In her previous role as Senior Instructional Designer at New York Life Sharla supported the design and development of blended and online learning for an agent population of 12,000. Supporting the Corporate Vice President of NYLIC University, she contributed to a three-year initiative to bring competency-based learning with virtual, in-person, and on-demand delivery. While at New York Life, she also a co-founded Mantissa, an award-winning micro-learning platform for insurance agents.
In prior roles at Rutgers University (2014-16), Sharla worked directly with Rutgers’ program directors, faculty, and staff seeking support with course development and training related to the digital learning environment. As instructional design team lead, she contributed to strategic planning and leadership while meeting cross-functional and operational goals.
